Does the ZD3 have HDMI CEC? Can I use my TV’s remote for volume control?
The ZD3 does have HDMI CEC. In HDMI ARC input mode, you can control the ZD3’s volume with your TV remote, but it does not support HDMI EARC.
Does the ZD3 have a built-in headphone amplifier? Does it have an analog input AUX?
No. The ZD3 does not have a built-in headphone amplifier and cannot connect headphones; it also does not support an analog input AUX.
Does the ZD3 support ASIO and WASAPI drivers in Windows 11?
Yes, the ZD3 supports both ASIO and WASAPI drivers in Windows 11.
Can I use the Trigger Out from the ZD3 to control two ZA3 amplifiers?
Yes, you can use a dual 3.5mm male splitter cable to control two ZA3 amplifiers synchronously.
How many Sparkos SS3602 op-amps do I need for the ZD3?
For RCA output, replace one op-amp. For XLR balanced output, replace two op-amps corresponding to the left and right channels.
Precautions for use:
USB Mode: 1. Make sure the PC-USB OTG cable you are using has OTG functionality.
COA Mode: 1. Coaxial Cable: Make sure you are using the appropriate coaxial cable. 2. Setup: Select COA mode on the DAC. On the TV, set the audio output to PCM and disable any audio effects, such as Dolby or DTS. Make sure “Fosi Audio Digital Output” is selected as the audio output device.
OPT Mode: 1. Confirm that the TV’s optical output is connected to the ZD3’s optical input. 2. Setup: On the TV, make sure the audio output is set to PCM and no additional audio effects, such as Dolby or DTS, are turned on.
HDMI Mode: Make sure your source supports HDMI (ARC). TV Setup: On the TV, navigate to Sound Settings, select Output Settings, and select “HDMI (ARC)” as the output format. Then, set the format to PCM.
BT Mode:Bluetooth Antenna: Make sure the Bluetooth antenna is properly installed. Delete Pairing: Delete previous Bluetooth pairing records on your device and disable Bluetooth on all other devices for easier reconnection.

Note: When the ZD3 is used with an LG TV, a bug in the LG TV system may cause issues with the HDMI-CEC function. Specifically, after turning off the TV with the power button or remote control, both the TV and ZD3 may automatically power back on after a short time. If you are using an LG TV, we recommend disabling the HDMI-CEC function. We are working hard to resolve this issue and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
