Tucked away amidst the cool blue-green valleys of the fertile coffee belt in Southern India is the massive Kalmane Estate, among the first coffee estates to be planted by Indians during the British Raj. In 1879. the rich soil of this estate gave birth to its first coffee plant. Today almost 140 years and four generations later our estate sprawls across 5000 acres in Chikmagalur, Karnataka and grows uniquely flavoured, fine Arabica coffee intercropped with Black Pepper. Everyday for over 60 years scores of coffee lovers in Italy and Europe have been taking delight in the light acidity, slight flavour and enriching aroma of our coffees.
